Fred Sheldon Dultz Lt. Col, United States Army Reserve, retired, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at his home with family by his side.

Born January 30, 1918 in Illinois to Sam and Sara Dultz, he relocated to the Los Angeles area in 1931. Fred was drafted six months before the United States entered WWII. He was commissioned and fought with the U.S. Army in the Pacific. After leaving active duty, Fred worked as a set carpenter for Paramount Studios, a carpenter and later entered the world of commercial credit insurance, retiring as a regional managing general agent. Throughout his working life, Fred served the Army Reserve. He was promoted though the commission ranks to Lt. Colonel and served with distinction as a graduate and senior instructor in the Army’s Command and General Staff College. This was the main thrust of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will especially be missed by his sons, Thomas Sheldon Dultz, John Paul Dultz, and Robert Michael Dultz. Five beautiful grandchildren came to Fred, Matthew, Timothy, Kevin, Andrew and Lauren. Fred is predeceased by his wife, Henrietta in 1995. He re-married after her passing to Helen who passed on in 2001.
