Traffic could be a mess for evening commute

Share

If the mess of crashes and minor flooding on local freeways today is any indication of what’s to come, evening commuters could be in for some slow traffic.

Flooding of up to 6 inches deep has been reported in the carpool lane of the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway near the Interestate-5 junction.

An earlier incident on the 134 Freeway transition to the southbound I-5 in which a car slid into a guardrail has been cleared, but traffic remains backed up into Burbank, according to the California Department of Transportation.

A Sigalert has issued for the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway near Lowell Avenue, where a white utility truck reportedly slammed into a guardrail.

Crews had cleared an earlier crash at the 210 connector to the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway.
