Three cheers for Ted Baumgart (“Wholesomeness becomes horror,” Sept. 21)!

Your solution for the problems with the design of Glendale’s 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade float is simply sweet. I got goose bumps when I read your article.

I think the elephant itself is just daring and unhooked with all the volunteers you suggest … what a thrilling representation of Glendale’s values it would be.
