Bring ‘Education Matters’ back

I am a high school student dismayed to find that Dan Kimber’s column, “Education Matters,” has been discontinued.

As a former school reporter, I admired Kimber’s frankness and wit in exposing the shortcomings of school curriculum. His professional observations were intriguing, and his arguments were from the heart.

Not only was he well versed in the field of education, but he stood for progress and improvement in the institutions where teenagers abide complacently.

Kimber will be remembered for making an impact in the field of writing and for representing the students of Glendale.
