Car engulfed in flames in Von’s parking lot

No injuries were reported as a result of a fire that completely engulfed a Nissan sedan in a grocery store parking lot Thursday in la Crescenta, officials said.

Firefighters put out the fire Thursday afternoon in a Von’s parking lot on Foothill Boulevard, officials said.

The driver of the 2002 Nissan sedan noticed smoke rising from the engine about 1:17 p.m. and quickly pulled into the Von’s lot, fire officials said.

After he exited the Nissan, fire officials said the engine ignited into flames.
