Magazine publisher John Krikorian collapses while accepting Glendale Fire award

Business Life magazine publisher John Krikorian, father of Glendale Unified school board member Greg Krikorian, collapsed today while accepting an award at the annual Glendale Fire Department luncheon.

Midway through his acceptance speech, John Krikorian lost consciousness and collapsed as Glendale firefighter-paramedics rushed in to catch him. They performed emergency CPR as he was rushed to Glendale Adventist Medical Center.

His condition was not immediately available.

Glendale Fire Chief Harold Scoggins cut the awards ceremony short, closing with a prayer for his recovery.

John Krikorian was accepting the “Service Above Self” award for his volunteerism and support for community programs. His wife is on the East Coast tending to her brother, who recently suffered a massive stroke.
