Mary A. Giambra

“Nonnie” a loving daughter, devoted wife, strong and nurturing mother, beloved grandmother, and cherished great grandmother passed away October 21, 2011 at age 91. Born in Dunmore, PA in 1920, Mary was the daughter of Joseph and Rosina Cordaro. She is survived by her sister Angela Richards; brother Philip (Charlamaine) Cordaro; brother in law Bob (Kathy) Giambra; daughter Marge (Harvey) Allen; son Bob (Doris) Giambra; grandchildren Kim (Jack) Durham; Jill (Chris) Stavros; Ethan (Paula) Allen; David Giambra; and great grandchildren Ethan, Luke, and Isabella Allen, Nicholas and Jason Stavros, and Jason Giambra. A Burbank Resident since 1949, Mary worked at General Controls. After retiring in 1974 she and her husband Tom traveled the world. They especially enjoyed regular visits to family on the East coast. She was a long time member of the Franciscan Seniors at St Frances Xavier Parish and loved her Friday night card games with friends. Nonnie played a loving role in the lives of her family, friends and neighbors. We love you Nonnie-Peace be with you.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday October 27th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier 3801 Scott Rd., Burbank, CA. 91504
