The hardship of bringing our own bags

The horror! What unbearable hardships we must endure to bring our own bags to the grocery store (the same people that drive around the parking lot three times because they must park within crawling distance of the front door).

How blind we all are to the opulence of our cherished American lifestyle. Take a look around. We are the only country where most residents don’t bring their own bags to the store. We like to pride ourselves on how tough we are, yet this microscopic effort is enough to set some people into a frenzy of indignation.

If we had to go through some real hardships — and we might — that would be the end of us.
