His Thursday morning St. Luke’s men’s group was very important to him. He was a member of the La Cañada Kiwanis A.M. and the Society for the Advancement of Management.

John’s many hobbies gave him great pleasure. He was a dedicated rosarian, having over 250 rose bushes in his garden, which he had personally selected. He also grew heirloom tomatoes and a wide variety of vegetables. John was a lover of eclectic music and had an extensive collection of vinyl records. He was an avid fisherman and woodworker.

A memorial service in celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, November 5 at 11:00 A.M. at the La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, 2930 Montrose Avenue, La Crescenta, CA; there will be a private graveside service for the family at Rose Hills Memorial Park following the memorial service.

While John is now gone from our sight, he will always remain in our hearts.
