134 Fwy. lanes reopen in Burbank as officials investigate fatal accident

Authorities have reopened the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway after several lanes were closed to investigate a fatal accident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed early this morning.

The lane closures snarled the morning commute as the California Highway Patrol invesitgated the scene. The pedestrian, described as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos told the Los Angeles Times that the accident was reported shortly before 5 a.m.

The man’s identity was not immediately available.
