Margie Sorensen

Our family mourns the passing of Margie Sorensen on October 30, 2011. A mother, sister, aunt, and friend, she left a legacy of laughter, generosity and courage in all of us.

A life-long resident of Burbank, Marguerite Hagberg was born on February 9,1934. After graduating from Bellarmine-Jefferson High School, she married and embarked on a long career in office management. A master at typing and math, she spent most of her career at Audio Digest in Glendale where she retired in 1999.

For many years, Margie and Lynn Sorensen were well-known throughout Burbank for their fun parties, great cooking, and hilarious stories.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn. She is survived by her daughter, Anita DeRoo, her son Ronald Sorensen, her sister Mary Ann Putnam, her brother Vincent Hagberg, and her grandson Ryan DeRoo. A Rosary will be held Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7pm at Valley Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Friday Nov. 4 at 10am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
