A mixed bag of rain and sunshine in store for weekend
Rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms today should break up into mostly clear skies by late tonight, according to the National Weather Service, but the respite will be short lived.
After a sunny but brisk Saturday -- with daytime temperatures not expected to get past 60 degrees -- another low pressure system is expected to move in, bringing with it a 70% chance of rain on Sunday.
The region is in the middle of an up-and-down rollercoaster forecast. After a stormy Sunday, clear skies and warmer temperatures are expected Monday through Wednesday. But more rain could roll through again as early as Thursday, according to the weather service.
