Occupy Wall Street is a cause for concern

There have been no letters to the editor regarding the mayhem of Occupy Wall Street in Oakland. Do we have to wait until it comes to a neighborhood near us to be concerned about its implications?

It does not speak well for the future of our country, which touted self-reliance and hard work as a means of getting ahead.

The president must be aware of this public disobedience and destruction of property, yet says nothing to condemn it. But what do you expect from a man who used to be a community organizer?

I am filled with pride to hear the words of “America, the Beautiful” and hope her banner will always remind people of her goodness.
