Driver takes out light pole in Pasadena

A La Cañada Flintridge man was injured Wednesday morning after losing control of his car and  hitting a light standard and electrical pole on Altadena Drive, south of Walnut Avenue, in Pasadena, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Phlunte Riddle.

The incident occurred at 7:47 a.m. as the 29-year-old man was driving southbound on Altadena. The driver had a medical condition that may have caused the accident, Pasadena police said, adding that speed was not a factor in the crash.

The man suffered minor injuries, according to Pasadena Fire spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
