Sprinklers slow laundry room blaze

A small blaze broke out in a home’s laundry room Saturday, but an indoor fire sprinkler system quickly controlled it, officials said.

Heat from fluorescent lights inside the laundry room at a home on Nolan Avenue and Wonderview Drive ignited towels and caused the blaze, Battalion Chief Gregory Godfrey said.
