Music, floats, sun and Occupiers

Share

The 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade was a feast for the eyes. Thanks to all the talented young musicians in the marching bands in their handsome uniforms stepping in precision to their spirited music.

Young skateboarders were fun and enthusiastic. What a perfect day for them to be out. Flags of various colors and sizes bobbed up and down as the parade moved along. There were high-stepping horses adorned with fancy regalia.

There were colorful and diverse floats, large and small. Each float was worthy of praise for the determination and hard work of volunteers who wanted to make a contribution to a decades-old family-oriented tradition. Nothing was expected in return — only the satisfaction of doing the best job that brought happiness and joy to so many people that day.

Then there were the Occupiers.
