Betty Jane Ganzel

Betty Jane GanzelBetty Ganzel passed away on January 7th 2012. She lived in Burbank for 56 years.Betty, the youngest of six children, was born in Augusta, Colorado on July11th 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken whom she married in 1944. They raised two children Jane Casey (Jim) of Burbank, and Jerry (Maureen) of Northridge.Prior to her retirement in 1983, Betty worked as a bookkeeper in the Aerospace industry for many years. After her retirement Betty traveled extensively, and volunteered for the City of Burbank and the American Heart Association. She was a 50 year member of ESA, a philanthropic sorority that supports St. Jude’s Hospital and many other organizations.In addition to her children Betty is survived by her four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.A memorial service to celebrate Betty¿s life will be held on Thursday January 12th 2012 at 2PM at Burbank First United Methodist Church, 700 North Glenoaks Blvd. Burbank, CA 91502. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made, in Betty¿s name, to the Burbank First United Methodist Church.
