Burbank Fire puts first of 3 new ambulances into action

Share

The Burbank Fire Department recently welcomed the newest addition to the family -- a brand new rescue ambulance outfitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

The ambulance has been getting tweaks and special equipment installed, including new sirens, lights, medical equipment, and even an onboard refrigerator to keep certain prescriptions cold.

Paramedics Erick Clements and Frank Quinones, the first to take the new ambulance on its maiden mission, said the difference between the newer, more nimble vehicle and the older, bigger rig was noticeable.

Attention now turns to finishing work on two additional replacement rescue ambulances.
