Walk Bike Glendale looks for ‘road diet’ support

Share

Walk Bike Glendale is looking for people who live or work on or near La Crescenta, Honolulu, and Verdugo Rd. who would support a road diet.

The group will be visiting neighborhoods this weekend, and tabling at the Montrose Farmers Market.

A road diet is intended to make streets safer and more livable for all road users, including motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Road diets have been successfully implemented in Burbank on Verdugo Ave.
The Glendale City Council will be discussing potential streets for a pilot road diet at their regular meeting next Tuesday.

Last month city staff suggested La Crescenta as a potential location for a road diet but wanted additional streets for consideration.
