Burbank police officials expect autopsy results tomorrow for a 11-month-old baby who died Wednesday after experiencing breathing problems at a daycare center.

At about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, police and paramedics responded to a call about a baby not breathing at a licensed daycare facility inthe 200 block of West Santa Anita Avenue, Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.

Paramedics transported the infant to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center while performing life-saving techniques, but were unsuccessful.

The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The parents, whose names have not been released, were notified by investigators and went to the hospital, Ryburn said.

Burbank police and the Los Angeles County coroner’s office are investigating the death, but Ryburn said there did not appear to be any foul play.

The cause of death and other details were still unknown, pending the autopsy report, he said.
