Margaret Linster Peterson passed away in Glendale, CA on February 3, 2012 and went home to be with the Lord at the age of 83 due to complications from cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her passing.

Born on January 16, 1929 in Crookston, MN, Margaret met her late husband, John Peterson, of 49 years before through his sister Carol in 1954. Margaret was a math teacher at St. Louis Park H.S. Shortly thereafter the two were married in 1957 in Crookston, MN and John and Margaret transferred to CA to pursue careers in engineering and teaching.

Margaret took a teaching position at Glendale H.S. from 1957-1961 when she decided to take a break from teaching and began raising a family of three sons for 10 years before she re-entered the teaching profession at Clark Jr. High in La Crescenta, CA in 1971 until she transferred to Crescenta Valley H.S. where she retired.

Margaret was an avid USC Trojan, LA Dodger and Laker fan and followed them faithfully. She also enjoyed family retreats to Big Bear Lake for rest and recreation for many years.

After Margaret retired and up until her final days she was very active in a number of charities including Assistance League of Glendale and PEO, where she held various leadership positions. She loved playing bridge and getting together with her friends for food and fellowship.
