Officials evacuate Crescenta Valley High

Officials are evacuating Crescenta Valley High School, but are declining to say why.

The evacuation was ordered to get students off the campus and home early, said Glendale Unified spokesman Steven Fasher, who declined to elaborate.

The evacuation comes one day after authorities staged a drunk driving accident at the campus to warn students against the dangers of getting behind the wheel after drinking alcohol.

The campus was also the focus of a debate on whether to clamp down on its lax open lunch rules after adminstrators discovered that the school wasn’t operating in line with district policy.
