Helen Louise Campbell Killefer, born in Glendale, passed away on January 14, 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland. Helen is the last surviving daughter of Arthur Campbell.and Nellie McPeak. Helen was the devoted sister of Mary Campbell Bower Sebring and Margaret Campbell Kelley. Nellie’s sister, Margaret McPeak married Arthur’s brother, Daniel Campbell also of Glendale. Arthur and Daniel, prominent participants in the development of Glendale, emigrated from Northern Ireland.

Helen is a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School, Glendale and Stanford University in 1945. Helen married Peter Killefer of Hermosa Beach, California . They lived in Hermosa Beach; Ojai, California; Midland, Texas and Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Helen and Peter moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 2005 to be near family and grandchildren. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2006. They loved family, friends, dogs, sailing and their desert tortoise, Florrie.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, mother in law and grandmother. Peter, an accomplished petroleum engineer and sailor, predeceased Helen in early 2007.

They are survived by four sons and their families; Campbell Killefer of Bethesda, Maryland, Peter Killefer Jr. of Amity and Ashland, Oregon, Timothy Killefer of Salem, Oregon and Brian Killefer of Owings Mills, Maryland.
