Shirley S. Tautkus

Shirley S. Tautkus Passed away on January 29,2012 at home in Sedona, Az. after being ill for a while. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, & friend.

Shirley was born in Ohio, June 1939 to Walter & Susie Beatty. The family moved to Tujunga, Ca. in 1954, where she attended Verdugo Hills High School. Shirley met Donald Tautkus at church & got married in 1956. They lived in Tujunga, then La Crescenta, then moved to La Canada in 1968 with their 3 children. She owned & ran a hobby & craft business on Foothill Blvd. in La Canada in the 60’s until an electrical fire destroyed everything. In the 70’s she worked as a waitress at Conrad’s Coffee Shop for a few years, then got a job with an electrical switch distributing company. In 2000 Don & Shirley moved to Sedona.

She is survived by her husband Don, daughter Ginger Willetts (Sedona), daughter & son-in-law Teri & Fernando Vasquez (Tujunga), son & daughter-in-law David & Cathy Tautkus (Simi Valley), 13 grandchildren, & 8 great-grandchildren.
