Barbara passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday afternoon at Windsor Manor with her son and daughter at her side, along with her pastor.

A lifelong resident of Los Angeles County, Barbara spent her early years in Westwood, attending University High and UCLA. After marrying Richard in 1960, they moved to Hollywood before settling in Glendale in 1970.

Barbara leaves her daughter, Gail of Tujunga CA, her son, Bruce and daughter in law Krista of Hurst TX, and their two children, Molly, a Texas Tech Red Raider and Kyle, a Baylor Bear. In addition, Barbara leaves brother-in-law, Malcolm McQueen, brother, Joseph “Bud” Ryan and his wife Barbara, and brother, David Ryan and his wife, Phyllis.

Barbara also leaves behind numerous bridge games, and is certain to have already found one now that she is reunited with her husband. Barbara had been a respected teacher in Los Angeles School District, an active member of: her church, Glendale Presbyterian Church; her sorority, AOPi; the Assistance League, her PEO group, and other community organizations, a fan of her family and a proud supporter of her alma mater, UCLA.

Graveside service for family will be held on Friday, February 24 at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier. She will be buried next to her husband, Richard E. Dunham.

Memorial service will be held at Glendale Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 25 at 11am.
