Overturned car on 134 Fwy. snarls commute through Glendale

A Lexus that overturned in the carpool lane of the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway snarled the morning commute through Glendale.

The crash -- reported at about 6:51 a.m. just before the Golden State (5) Freeway -- blocked the carpool and No. 1 lanes as emergency crews worked to clear the roadway. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The freeway has since been cleared and a Sigalert issued for the westbound 134 Freeway through Glendale has been canceled.

Southbound traffic on the I-5 through Burbank was also moving slow on rain-slick roadways that made for a slow-going commute throughout the San Fernando Valley.
