Elderly woman reports masturbating driver

A 74-year-old woman on Monday reported that a man started masturbating in front of her after she gave him driving directions, police said.

The woman was walking about 2 p.m. north on Broadway near Olive Street when a gray Nissan Altima pulled next to her and the driver asked her for directions to the Foothill (210) Freeway, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

She immediately noticed the driver was masturbating, prompting him to drive away.

The woman described the man as being about 35 to 40 years old, short, with curly brown hair and a mustache, Lorenz said.
