Bike lanes and simplicity

Simplicity is the best policy. As much as I’m 100% in favor of making Glendale more bike-friendly, I’m against the idea of a painted neon-green bike lane (“City considers colored bike lanes, markings,” March 2).

The simple white line and white sharrow markings, like those on Stocker Street, are more than adequate and cost-effective.
