A 26-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after she emptied a beer can on an officer from her home window and then threw it at him, officials said.

Police responded about 1:44 a.m. to reports of loud noise at Megan Swett’s apartment in the 100 block of North Louise Street, where they noticed an open window and several beer cans and other household items strewn on the ground.

Officers were unable to contact her or anyone else, so they left. But a few hours later, they received a second call for the same complaint.

They responded again to the apartment, whey they found more beer cans and a broken table on the ground, police said.

This time, Swett yelled at the officers to go away, according to police.

When one of the officers walked up to the window and looked inside, Swett allegedly appeared holding the beer, cussed at him and poured the can’s contents on him, according to reports.

She then allegedly threw the can at officer, but missed and closed the window.

After ignoring requests to exit her apartment, police rammed open Swett’s door and arrested her on suspicion of battery on an officer and resisting arrest.
