Pasadena police investigate officer-involved shooting
Pasadena police officers shot and killed a man on Saturday night after he and a 17-year-old boy allegedly committed an armed robbery, according to the department.
The shooting occurred just after 11 p.m. near Fair Oaks and Orange Grove boulevards. Neither officer was injured.
The officers were responding to a call about an armed robbery that had occurred near Fair Oaks and Summit Avenue. When they arrived, they saw one of the suspects running, police said.
The officers opened fire after seeing the suspect’s hands at his waistband, police said. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other suspect is in custody. Neither of their names have been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
