Jeff Bogust
Jeff Bogust, after a short illness, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
Jeff was born on May 26, 1958 on Los Angeles County, and a life time resident of La Crescenta. He was the second child of fourteen children born to Mary and Henry (Bud) Bogust. He attended St. James the Less Elementary, Loyola High, Crescenta Valley High and Glendale Community College. Jeff excelled at academics and sports. He was an excellent student and won many honors for his math and science abilities. He loved the Dodgers and was a great ball player himself earning a spot on many all star teams. He also developed a love of tinkering and building things. He with his family enjoyed water sports and was an avid boater. He had a successful career working as a licensed contractor and a City of Los Angeles City Housing Code Enforcement Inspector. He leaves behind his former wife Leslie Cozby, his two daughters Pamela and Samantha Bogust and his parents Bud and Mary. He is survived by brothers and sisters Chris, Torrey, Greg, Gigi (Bridget), Katey, Matt, Judd, Colby, Britt, Jason, and Bart and their respective spouses, niece and nephews. He will be joining his predeceased brothers Brad and Josh in heaven. His family and many friends will miss his wit, intelligence, and generosity in applying his many skills in lending a helping hand.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00 am. at St. James the Less Catholic Church 4625 Dunsmore Avenue. La Crescenta, CA. 91214
