A 55-year-old man was cited Tuesday for allegedly exposing his genitals and simulating sex with a mannequin inside the Sears in downtown Burbank, police said.

Mateo Garcia, of Arleta, was allegedly caught in the act by a loss prevention officer at about 11:45 a.m., said police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

“The man approached the female mannequin from behind, grabbed onto the mannequin and was making inappropriate movements,” Ryburn said, adding that it took place in the woman’s clothing department and that the mannequin was fully clothed.

The female store security guard told Burbank police that Garcia appeared to be “inappropriately having sex with a store mannequin,” Ryburn said.

Garcia was placed under citizen’s arrest until police arrived and cited him for allegedly exposing himself in public, a misdemeanor.

He is scheduled to appear in Los Angeles County Superior Court on May 15.
