A top executive at Glendale Adventist Medical Center has been given the top job at Simi Valley Hospital.

Kim Milstien, vice president of business development at Glendale Adventist, will assume the role of president and chief executive at Simi Valley this summer, according to an announcement from the hospital Monday.

It will be somewhat of a homecoming; Milstien began her career with Adventist Health at the Simi Valley hospital in 1996.

In a statement, Bill Wing, senior vice president of Adventist Health and chairman of the board for the Southern California facility, said Milstien’s strength is in “building new services through collaboration and relationships, which will allow [Simi Valley Hospital] to meet more of the health needs in the community.”

Milstien also serves on the Glendale YWCA board of directors and has been active with several local nonprofits and service clubs.
