South Pasadena police blotter: Water backflow device taken from War Memorial building

Assault: 904 Mission St., 11:30 a.m. South Pasadena Convalescent Hospital worker struck on the head by a patient.

May 9

Theft: 1900 Marengo Avenue, 7 p.m. or later. Bicycle stolen.

May 10

Theft: 400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue. Water backflow device taken from War Memorial building.

May 11

Stolen vehicle: 1300 block of Brunswick Avenue, 2 p.m. or later. Vehicle is a 1990 Honda Accord.

Vandalism: 500 block of Monterey Road, 7 p.m. or earlier. Graffiti posted, two tires on car cut.

May 12

Burglary: 200 block of St. Albans Avenue, 10:55 p.m. Residents hear alarm go off and find suspect, a 25-year-old woman from Los Angeles, on bedroom floor. Residents detain suspect until police arrive.

Road rage: Marmion Way at Arroyo Verde Road, 11 a.m. Drivers engage in a fight stemming from a road rage incident.

May 13

Theft: 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue, 10 a.m. or earlier. Jewelry and iPod taken, suspect is person hired to remodel home. Items later recovered.

Domestic violence: 1800 block of Wayne Avenue, 2 p.m. Relatives get into argument, with one hitting the other in the head.

May 14

Burglary: 2000 block of Empress Avenue, 8:30 a.m. or earlier. Rear door of home under construction pried open, tools taken.

Theft: 815 Fremont Ave., 2 a.m. Four people enter Carrow’s, eat meal and leave without paying.

May 15

Commercial burglary: 1000 Fremont Ave., 8:53 p.m. Fiore Market Café employee sees man from Pasadena, 51, enter café and take cash from register. Employees and witnesses pursue and detain suspect until police arrive.
