Police are asking for help in identifying a woman who burglarized locker rooms at two 24 Hour Fitness gyms in Glendale.

On May 14, the woman -- who told an employee at the 24 Hour Fitness at 450 N. Brand Blvd. that she’d forgot her purse -- was allowed to enter the women’s locker room, where she cut off locks and stole car keys, jewelry, clothing and a purse.

A similar theft also occurred May 19 at the gym’s second location at 240 N. Brand Blvd, police said. The victim in that burglary reported her lock and purse stolen.
Police said they didn’t know if the woman has targeted other gyms in the Los Angeles region.

She is described as 22 to 32 years old with long black hair and stocky build.

Anyone with details about the burglaries or has seen the woman was encouraged to call Glendale Police Det. Robert William at (818) 548-2097. To remain anonymous, call Glendale Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867.
