A portion of Angeles Forest Highway that’s been closed this week for road reconstruction is slated to reopen Friday for the weekend.

The section of highway between Aliso Canyon Road and Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road has been closed since Monday. The project was to be completed this week, but Los Angeles County public works officials today announced that the road will close once again to through traffic on Monday to wrap up the work.

The construction zone, which is about 3 miles north of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road, will reopen at 5 p.m. Friday, and then close again on Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the county.
