South Pasadena Tigers roar toward college

South Pasadena families were out in force Thursday evening as 361 South Pasadena High School seniors collected their diplomas at a graduation ceremony at the school’s Roosevelt Field.

Nearly every one of the new graduates is college bound.

About 290 will head to schools in California, according to the South Pasadena High School Tiger newspaper, with about 60 going to Pasadena City College.

UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside and USC also are popular destinations.
