Stanley Cup coming to Glendale Wednesday
Two weeks after the Los Angeles Kings’ victory, Glendale residents will get their chance to view the gleaming 35 pound Stanley Cup.
A member of the Kings will present the trophy at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Pacific Community Center on 501 S. Pacific Ave.
Admission and parking are free. Parking is available at South Kenilworth Avenue near Vine Street.
The Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils on June 11, winning their first Stanley Cup. The trophy is named after Lord Stanley of Preston, who came up with the idea when he was governor general of Canada in the 1800s.
