Glendale police make four drunk driving arrests during checkpoint

Four motorists were arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during a sobriety checkpoint in Glendale, police said.

Police also made three arrests for narcotics possession, while three others were arrested on outstanding warrants, according to police.

More than 1,600 vehicles drove through the checkpoint at Gardena Avenue and Los Feliz Road, where officers from Glendale, Burbank and San Marino conducted 14 field sobriety tests.

Another 19 motorists were arrested for driver’s license violations, according to police. Nine vehicles were impounded.
