A 21-year-old Glendale man was arrested Monday after he allegedly swung a golf club at a neighbor who confronted him about urinating near his home window, police said.

Jesse Rodriguez was arrested in the 200 block of South Kenwood Street on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for swinging the golf club toward his neighbor, who wasn’t injured during the incident.

The neighbor told police Rodriguez was throwing away trash, but before heading back to his own apartment, stopped in front of his window and began urinating, according to Glendale police reports.

Rodriguez, who police said smelled of alcohol, had allegedly urinated in front of the neighbor’s window numerous times. But this was the last straw for the neighbor, who demanded Rodriguez get a bucket and clean up the urine, according to police.

After nudging Rodriguez to “hurry up,” both men returned to their apartments.

Moments later, Rodriguez appeared in front of his neighbor’s apartment yelling profanities as he swung the golf club, according to police.

Rodriguez denied any wrongdoing, police said.
