Man’s body found after Glassell Park house fire extinguished
The body of a 33-year-old man was found early Tuesday morning after a fire at a Glassell Park home, Los Angeles city fire officials said.
A structure fire in the 3800 block of East Aguilar Street was reported about 1 a.m. at a hillside residence. The man -- who has yet to be identified -- was found in the bathtub in a detached residence in the rear, officials said.
Flames at the back of the building quickly spread to a nearby carport and shed. A neighbor’s house was also damaged in the fire.
Firefighters extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, officials said.
The woman who lives in the front house told KTLA-TV that she sublet the back house to the now-deceased man for the past three years.
