Glendale police to hold DUI checkpoint Friday
Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday at an undisclosed location in Glendale.
Officers will also check motorists for valid driver’s licenses at the grant-funded checkpoint.
Glendale police arrested 611 motorists on suspicion of DUI during the first six months of this year — a higher number compared to the same period last year that was attributed to stepped-up enforcement efforts.
Officers made 356 DUI arrests from January to June last year, according to the Police Department.
