Tournament of Roses Foundation adds two

The Tournament of Roses Foundation, the charitable arm of Pasadena’s Tournament of Roses, has named Maxine Harris and Lance Tibbet to its board of directors.

Harris is a longtime Pasadena resident who serves as a vice president in the wealth management group at Bank of the West, where she manages trusts, estates and charitable agency accounts. She serves on the boards of Union Station Homeless Services, Friends of the Levitt Pavilion, Red Cross and the Organization of Women Executives.

Tibbet has been a Tournament of Roses Assn. volunteer since 1980 and is a member of the tournament’s executive committee. He is slated to serve as president in 2018, when the association will host its 129th Rose Parade and 104th Rose Bowl game. Tibbet is the operations manager at Magic Growers, Inc. a wholesale nursery in Pasadena. Long involved in scouting, Tibbet is also a board member of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives and the USS Pasadena Foundation.

Harris and Tibbet replace outgoing board members Wellington Chen and Ira “Mike” Matthiessen.
