Alleged Glendale jailhouse fight leads to second arrest of woman

Share

A 31-year-old inmate was arrested again Saturday after she allegedly punched another inmate in the face while inside the Glendale jail.

Christine Hunt was already in police custody on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence of drugs and crashing. When she exited her cell Saturday, she approached Sharis Shanazarian, 24 of Sun Valley, and hit her in the face, according to Glendale police reports.

Shanazarian, who was in custody on suspicion of crashing into a parked car while driving intoxicated, told officers the attack was unprovoked and occurred when she was also exiting her cell, according to police reports.

Hunt allegedly threatened to bite Shanazarian and made a comment about stealing “her look.”

Hunt allegedly admitted to hitting Shanazarian and was arrested on suspicion of battery.
