The lead singer of the rock band Falling In Reverse, who was arrested last week in Glendale on an outstanding warrant for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, is slated to defend himself in front of a jury.

Ronald Radke’s case is in the process of being scheduled for a jury trial, where he will face one misdemeanor count of corporal injury to his girlfriend and a misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment, according to a Los Angeles County Superior Court criminal complaint.

[Updated Aug. 15: A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office said the Aug. 27 trial date originally reported in this story was scratched to give attorneys more time to prepare. Both sides are now scheduled to meet in court Sept. 4 to settle on a new trial date.]

His girlfriend alleged that he broke her cell phone and grabbed her hair, pulled her and then pushed her to the ground, according to Glendale police reports.

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office later issued a warrant for Radke’s arrest.

The 28-year-old frontman was sentenced to five years of probation for battery charges for his role in the 2006 shooting death of an 18-year-old man in Nevada.

Radke spent 2 1/2 years in a Nevada state prison after he missed an appointment with his parole officer in 2008 and his parole was subsequently revoked.
