A 29-year-old Glendale man was arrested early Wednesday after he broke into a woman’s home while she was sleeping and ransacked her kitchen, police said.

Von Ryan Manago was taken into custody on suspicion of burglary after police found him on Broadway and Jackson Street blocks away from the woman’s home, according to Glendale police.

Manago is also known by his rap name, Nem-Iz, who hails from Raleigh, NC. He was born and raised in New Jersey.

Managi has a Myspace page with some of his songs, as well as a radio interview.

On June 21, Manago wrote on his Myspace wall “yeah moving to cali...see ya east coast.”

At 1:55 a.m, the woman fell asleep on her living room couch and woke up to a noise in her kitchen about 20 feet away, police said. The lights were off inside her home, except for the kitchen.

When she saw Manago allegedly standing inside the kitchen, she started walking toward him, at which point he fled, according to police.

While all of the kitchen cabinets and a drawer were open, the woman told police she didn’t immediately notice anything was missing.

Soon after, police checked the area and found Manago, who the woman identified.

Anyone with details about the incident or Manago may call burglary detectives at (818) 548-3127. To remain anonymous, call Glendale Crime Stoppers at (818) 507-7867.
