Glendale police set up perimeter in search of burglary suspect
Police set up a perimeter Thursday afternoon around a North Glendale neighborhood after a resident returned home to see a man running out the door.
The perimeter -- from Kenneth Road to Grandview Avenue, and Sonora Avenue south to Mountain Street -- remained in effect as of this evening as the search continued.
The resident arrived home in the 1000 block of West Mountain Street this afternoon to find a back door and doggie door open. Then suddenly, a man ran out of the home, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
Officers requested police dogs to search the neighborhood for the suspect, he added.
