Glendale police: Burglars forced teen to walk them through house

Police are searching for two men who forced a 17-year-old boy to walk them through his home to steal valuables, officials said.

The boy arrived home sometime after 2 p.m. to find two men inside his home in the 700 block of Dale Avenue, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

The men then forced the boy to walk around his home and collect property, he said.

The men then told the boy to stay inside the home and not to call police, Lorenz said. The men, who were only described as being black and in their 20s, fled in an unknown direction.

The boy was not harmed during the break in, Lorenz added.

Police set up a perimeter from San Fernando Road to Glenoaks Boulevard and North Pelanconi Avenue to the south as part of the search effort, Lorenz said.
