Small earthquake recorded near Hollywood

A small earthquake was reported Monday morning near Hollywood.

The 2.6 magnitude temblor was reported at 7:44 a.m. A preliminary map put the epicenter around Universal City, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Because it was so small, it’s unclear how widely the quake was felt.

But the U.S. Geological Survey said a few people did report feeling it.
