A local company on Friday donated more than $5,000 in toys and sports equipment to the Glendale Fire Department’s toy drive for low-income children.

Glendale firefighters picked up the large donation from 4 Over Inc., a wholesale trade printer in the 5900 block of San Fernando Road.

The toys will be distributed to local children.

The Fire Department’s toy drive is part of the larger Spark of Love campaign, in which firefighters from Southern California collect new and unwrapped toys for under-served children.

The campaign collected roughly 500,000 toys last year.
